The Hanford Parks & Community Services Department is here to make your free time fun, active, and meaningful. We offer a wide variety of programs and activities for the whole family, including youth programs, adult sports leagues, senior activities, special classes, and exciting community events. Whether you’re looking to stay active, try something new, or just enjoy the outdoors, we’re here to help you make the most of your leisure time.

Our team takes pride in caring for over 209 acres of parks, athletic fields, and beautifully landscaped areas throughout Hanford, including our vibrant Downtown, Courthouse Square, City parking lots, Industrial Park, Airport, and Intermodal Station. From maintaining safe playgrounds and upgrading equipment to performing regular safety inspections, we work hard to ensure that our spaces are welcoming, accessible, and fun for everyone.

The Parks Division also leads important efforts like the Tree City USA Program, streetscape enhancements, and ongoing beautification projects across the city. In addition, we oversee 37 landscape assessment districts, making sure our parks and public spaces remain safe and well-maintained year-round.
